Installed Pump Replacement

Replacing an Installed KSB Omega / Omega V?

Send the installed model, nameplate, duty point and available GA information. We review the hydraulic duty and installation interfaces before confirming the replacement configuration.

  1. Installed Pump
  2. Model / Nameplate / GA
  3. Hydraulic Review
  4. Interface Verification
  5. Confirmed Replacement Configuration

What We Verify

  • Installed model
  • Q / H
  • Speed
  • Suction/discharge flange
  • Flange rating/drilling
  • Nozzle centerline
  • Shaft height
  • Rotation
  • Coupling
  • Baseplate footprint
  • Anchor-bolt positions
  • Materials
  • Seal arrangement

Where the installed configuration is verified as a direct match, we can supply a 100% dimensional replacement.

Where an interface differs, the engineering review and quotation will identify the difference and define any required transition baseplate, spool arrangement or other adaptation before production.

Pump Construction

Three structural features of the S-series split-case pump

Use the approved model drawing and datasheet to confirm the final construction for each project.

01

Double-suction impeller

Liquid enters the impeller from both sides, helping balance axial hydraulic force and support high-flow service. Confirm the final duty point against the approved performance curve.

02

Horizontally split casing

The upper casing can be removed for inspection of the rotor and impeller while the main suction and discharge piping remains connected, subject to installation access.

03

Bearing and shaft-seal arrangements

Bearing options and mechanical seal or packing arrangements are selected for the service. Confirm the final arrangement on the project datasheet and order documents.

Material Schedule

Materials & Wetted Components

Material selection must be verified against the actual liquid, temperature, corrosion conditions and project specification. ASTM / EN equivalence requires engineering confirmation.

    FAQ

    Split-Case Replacement Questions

Can you replace an existing KSB Omega pump?

Yes. We review the installed Omega / Omega V model, duty point and mechanical interfaces before confirming the replacement configuration.

Is every S-Series pump dimensionally interchangeable with KSB Omega?

No blanket interchangeability should be assumed. Direct fit is confirmed against the installed model, GA drawing and interface dimensions.

Can I reuse my existing motor and coupling?

Potentially. Shaft height, coupling spacing, motor arrangement and baseplate interfaces must be verified first.

    What information should I send?

Existing brand/model, nameplate photo, flow, head, speed and GA drawing if available.

Can you review a split-case pump from another manufacturer?

Yes. Submit the installed pump information for an engineering review. The achievable replacement scope depends on the available hydraulic and dimensional data.
