Does an A rating approve a material for purchase?

No. It means the material family is generally resistant under the listed reference condition. Confirm actual concentration, normal and maximum temperature, contaminants, aeration, velocity, solids, sealing materials and the full wetted system.

Why are CF8M and CN7M not separate rating columns?

The current table is organized by broader material families. A cast grade may be commercially related to a wrought family, but this page does not claim that every grade has identical performance in every listed condition.

Can the table estimate an unlisted temperature or concentration?

No. Filters only return exact conditions already present in the dataset. Unlisted conditions require a separate engineering and source-data review.

Does the table include seals and other non-metallic wetted parts?

No. The ratings compare metallic material families. Elastomers, mechanical seal faces, gaskets, sleeves and other wetted components must be checked separately.

What should I send for a material review?

Send the chemical or mixture, concentration, normal and maximum temperature, solids, impurities, current pump model and material, required component, and any available nameplate photo, BOM or drawing.
