Manufacturing & inspection process
Inspection happens at the factory
Inspection records and order-specific checks help buyers see what was supplied and how it was reviewed. The inspection scope is matched to the confirmed pump, material and order requirements.
Discuss an inspection requirementA clear sequence
From component checks to pump testing
Production and inspection records are tied to the agreed order scope, so buyers can review the product and the checks that apply to it.
Confirm requirements
Align drawings, material grade, dimensions, test points and document needs.
Check material and castings
Verify specified material; pressure-test pump casings and perform visual or penetrant checks as scoped.
Measure components
Machine to applicable drawings and verify dimensions, including CMM checks where required.
Prepare rotating parts
Dynamically balance impellers and check assembled-part fit against the order requirements.
Review the finished pump
Complete-pump performance testing and witness points are arranged against the confirmed scope.
Inspection capabilities
Checks selected for the product and order
These in-house and external capabilities support the review. The quotation identifies which checks, reports and witness arrangements apply to a specific order.
Material verification
Material is checked against the grade specified for the order; spectrometer or chemical analysis and supporting material records can be addressed in the agreed document scope.
Casing pressure testing
Pump casings receive pressure testing. Test medium, pressure, hold time and report format follow the applicable specification and confirmed order scope.
Visual, penetrant and CMM checks
Visual inspection and liquid penetrant testing support surface review; coordinate measurement verifies dimensions against the applicable drawing.
Dynamic balancing and fit
Impellers are dynamically balanced, and assembled parts are checked for fit against the applicable configuration.
Additional methods by arrangement
Magnetic-particle and ultrasonic testing can be arranged through qualified third-party laboratories when specified.
Performance test on the factory bench
Complete-pump performance testing can be arranged on the factory test benches. Test curves are available by request; witness testing is arranged in advance.
Limits describe the factory’s stated test-bench capability. Confirm the applicable range and test conditions for the selected pump in the quotation.
Order evidence
Know what will be documented
Tell us what your quality team needs to review before the quotation is finalized.
Can we witness a test?
Witness testing can be arranged by agreement. State the requested test, acceptance criteria and preferred timing before the order scope is confirmed.
Can a third party inspect the order?
Third-party inspection can be arranged for the agreed scope. The inspection agency, checkpoints, notice period and cost responsibility should be confirmed in the quotation.
Are test curves and reports available?
Inspection records are maintained for orders. Test curves and specific reports are supplied when included in the confirmed document scope or requested and agreed for the order.
What should we provide?
Send the specification, drawing revision, material requirements, inspection plan and any customer or third-party witness requirements. The team will identify open points before quoting.
Need a specific test or document?
Share the order specification or inspection plan and we will confirm the applicable scope.
