Horizontal Self-Priming Process Pump — No External Priming Required

This horizontal self-priming centrifugal process pump integrates priming and air-removal into a single-component casing — eliminating the need for external air separators, check valves, foot valves, or separate priming chambers. Designed for applications where the pump is mounted above the fluid source, it delivers reliable, repeatable priming in the most demanding industrial environments.

How It Works

The integrated self-priming casing design automatically evacuates air from the suction line and re-circulates fluid to establish prime. Once primed, the pump operates as a standard ANSI B73.1 process pump. On restart, retained fluid in the casing enables rapid re-priming without operator intervention — even after extended shutdown periods.

Key Design Features

  • Integrated single-component self-priming casing — combines priming, air removal, and pumping functions in one casing; no external priming system required
  • Self-venting, centerline discharge — eliminates air binding and simplifies piping layout
  • ANSI B73.1 back pull-out design — full pump assembly removable without disturbing casing or suction/discharge piping
  • Freeze-resistant casing — high-strength carbon steel construction resists rupture from freezing retained priming fluid
  • Flinger disk oil lubrication — 30% increased bearing L-10 life and 15°F lower operating temperatures vs. flood oil
  • 316 SS heavy-duty shaft — rigid, corrosion-resistant, standard
