Goulds 3180
- ANSI flange configuration
- Imperial / ANSI installation reference
- Paper-stock & process applications
Already have a 3185 in service? We match replacement pumps and selected parts to its size, ISO/JIS interfaces, operating duty, materials and seal arrangement before confirming fit.
Model / Nameplate · Pump Size · Duty Point · Material · Seal Arrangement
Both serve paper-stock and process duties, but their installation references differ. Match the nameplate and flange standard first: 3180 is ANSI / Imperial; this page covers 3185 ISO/JIS / Metric installations.

Use these values as a family-level reference only. Final replacement performance depends on pump size, speed, impeller diameter, hydraulic configuration and operating duty.
Start with the information a buyer usually already has. The selection below builds a concise replacement brief and carries it into the RFQ.
Published size listing is used to identify an existing installation. Current replacement availability and final configuration remain subject to engineering review.

Pump size is only the first identifier. The installed metric interfaces and actual duty should be verified before a replacement is confirmed.
Do not assume an ANSI-flanged installation can be replaced without checking nozzle drilling, orientation and mating interfaces.
Confirm shaft, coupling, baseplate and critical installation dimensions from the existing GA, drawing or site measurement.
Verify flow, head, speed and impeller configuration against the required operating point rather than selecting from nameplate size alone.
Confirm process liquid, temperature, solids/fibres, material and sealing arrangement before quotation.
Use the installed impeller style and service conditions as part of the replacement review, especially for fibrous, slurry and recycle duties.

For fibrous, slurry and selected stock-handling applications where the installed configuration requires an open hydraulic design.

Configuration-dependent process duties. Verify existing hydraulic geometry, impeller diameter and required operating point.

Review the installed impeller geometry before replacement selection instead of assuming interchangeability from size alone.
Replacement pumps and selected metallic parts are reviewed against the verified 3185 installation, material and duty.

Complete or bare-pump scope based on verified installation and duty.

Reviewed against size, material and dimensional reference.

Selected metallic cover components from verified drawing or sample.

Matched to size, configuration, material and hydraulic requirement.

Reviewed against the exact metric shaft configuration.

Selected metallic mechanical-seal-related components from verified data.
When the nameplate is incomplete, installation interfaces often provide the fastest route to a reliable replacement review.

Send the model / size, required supply scope and any available duty or installation information. The engineering review can continue from there.
Send the installed model, size and scope. Add engineering data or files if available; our team will review fit before quotation.
