YSM ISO PROCESS PUMP

DW Series Wear-Resistant Process Pump

YSM DW is a wear-resistant single-stage pump platform for abrasive, viscous, fibrous and non-fibrous slurry duties where hydraulic design and materials must be reviewed together.

PRODUCT DATA

YSM DW published range

Series maximums support early screening. Final wear life and selection depend on actual liquid and solids conditions.

Parameter YSM DW series range
Capacity Up to 7,000 m³/h
Head Up to 110 m
Pressure 16 / 25 bar
Temperature Up to 180°C

Confirm solids size, concentration, abrasiveness, viscosity, temperature, material, seal and exact installed interfaces before production.

AHLSTAR WPP/T Replacement Compatibility

YSM DW can be engineered for 100% replacement compatibility with corresponding verified AHLSTAR WPP/T configurations. Exact hydraulic, wear, material and dimensional interfaces are verified for the installed pump before production.

Applications and service duties

DW supports selected abrasive, viscous, fibrous and non-fibrous slurry duties. Final material and wear review follows actual solids and operating conditions.

Final selection and replacement review

Duty

Flow, head, speed, liquid, concentration, viscosity and solids.

Interfaces

Nozzles, flanges, centerline, footprint, rotation and coupling.

Configuration

Material, seal, driver, drawings and inspection scope.

YSM manufacturing and engineering support

Project support can include casting development, precision machining, hydraulic geometry review, material control, assembly, dimensional inspection and testing when specified.

Sulzer, Ahlstrom and referenced pump model designations are trademarks of their respective owners and are used only to identify installed equipment and replacement compatibility. YSM / ANSI Pumps Pro is an independent manufacturer and is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Sulzer.

Designed Around Wear Conditions, Not Only Flow and Head

Abrasive service cannot be selected from capacity and head alone. The DW review also considers solids concentration, particle characteristics, liquid properties, temperature, materials, seal arrangement and the expected wear locations inside the pump.

For a replacement project, the installed WPP/T configuration is treated as engineering evidence. Hydraulic duty and wear-critical mechanical interfaces must be checked for the specific installation.

Information That Changes Wear Performance

Solids loading

Concentration and suspended-solids loading can materially influence wear and hydraulic behavior.

Particle characteristics

Approximate particle size, hardness and shape should be supplied where known.

Liquid properties

Viscosity, temperature and corrosiveness affect hydraulic and material decisions.

Operating pattern

Continuous duty, variable duty and operation away from the intended duty point can affect wear and reliability.

DW Replacement Review Checklist

Hydraulic Flow, head, speed and operating range
Slurry Solids concentration, particle characteristics and fibers
Liquid Temperature, viscosity and chemistry/corrosiveness
Materials Existing and required wetted materials
Installation Nozzles, flanges, centerline, footprint and rotation
Mechanical Seal, shaft/coupling, driver and bearing data
Evidence Model, nameplate, GA, sectional drawing and failed-part photos

If the existing pump has repeated erosion, short component life or unexpected hydraulic loss, include failed-component photographs and operating history so the replacement review can focus on the actual failure mechanism.

When to Choose DW

Use the DW review route when abrasion and erosion are the dominant selection risk. Use AC for broader process duties and DN when clogging, fibers or solids passage are the primary concern.
