A model-family reference is a starting point, not proof of fit. If the casing reference is uncertain, send the available evidence for an OEM part-number cross-reference before production.

CF8M, CD4MCuN, Alloy 20/CN7M and nickel alloys may be considered for different services, but the correct material depends on concentration, contaminants, solids, pH when relevant, temperature and the observed failure mechanism. The alloy name alone is not a material-selection justification.
Inspection and Documentation Scope
Define the acceptance scope in the RFQ. Depending on the project, this may include visual and dimensional inspection, material traceability, PMI, hydrostatic testing or other inspection records. State which documents are required and confirm that they are available for the specific casing, material and configuration.
A replacement casing should not be described as universally interchangeable. Dimensional fit, pressure-boundary condition, material suitability and hydraulic relationship are separate checks.
