Delivery follows the agreed order schedule; the 48-hour review starts with sufficient pump and duty information. The project GA records the exact installed interfaces.

01 / IDENTIFY THE CONFIGURATION

Start with the MC configuration.

This page covers MC high-pressure multistage stage-casing pumps. The nameplate and assembly information identify the exact unit; MC and MCE are different families.

Hydraulic identity

Installed configurationFull MC model, size, stage count and speed

Information to sendNameplate, duty, existing curve and suction conditions.

Mechanical identity

Installed configurationStage arrangement, driver and installation

Information to sendGA, assembly drawing, coupling and balance-device information.

Installed-family technical reference: Sulzer MC high-pressure stage-casing pump.

02 / ENGINEERING FIT

Match the pressure.
Review the whole shaft line.

Total head alone does not define a multistage replacement. Pressure conditions, stage arrangement and mechanical loads belong in the same review.

01

Duty & stage arrangement

Flow, head, speed, number of stages and the required operating range, including the first-stage suction requirement.

Recorded inHydraulic & stage selection
02

Suction & discharge pressure

Operating and design pressures, fluid temperature and available NPSH. State whether readings are gauge or absolute.

Recorded inPressure & suction review
03

Balance device & driver

Installed balance drum or disc arrangement, bearings, seals, absorbed power, driver rating and coupling.

Recorded inAssembly & driver specification
04

Installation interfaces

Nozzle sizes, orientation, centerline, supports, mounting footprint and maintenance withdrawal space.

Recorded inGA & dimensional match
Review the match before manufacture.

Your report identifies the proposed configuration, agreed dimensions, supply boundaries and any data still required. Approval drawings establish the manufacturing basis.

03 / SCOPE & DOCUMENTS

Define the complete mechanical boundary.

Specify a complete pump set or a bare pump around a retained driver and base. Include the existing coupling and assembly data. The proposal records the hydraulic selection, balance arrangement, driver requirements, mounting interfaces and supplied auxiliaries.

Discuss my supply scope

Approved configuration

Duty and interface drawings, material and seal specification, driver requirements and a clear equipment list.

Material & test records

Specified material identification and traceability, inspections and test reports to the agreed project requirements.

Delivery & operation

Equipment identification, packing list, operating documentation and the written delivery and warranty terms.

WARRANTY

18 months from shipment / 12 months from commissioning

Whichever occurs first.
Recorded in the written supply terms.

    BEFORE YOU ENQUIRE

    MC replacement.
    Clear answers.

    View the replacement program
Does this page cover MC or MCE pumps?

This page covers MC high-pressure multistage stage-casing pumps. MCE is a different family. Send the full model or a nameplate photo if the installed designation is unclear.

Can you start if I do not know the number of stages?

Yes. Send the complete model, nameplate, available drawings and overall pump photos. We identify the stage arrangement from the available records and explain what else is needed for selection.

Why do you need suction and discharge pressure as well as head?

Differential head defines the hydraulic duty, while inlet and discharge pressures help define the pressure boundary and operating conditions. Include maximum and normal values and state whether pressure readings are gauge or absolute.

Why review the balance device and driver?

The balance arrangement, bearings, seals, shaft line and driver form a connected mechanical system. Assembly drawings and driver data help define the replacement’s axial-load management, power and coupling requirements.

Can the existing driver, base and pipework be retained?

We match installed piping and foundation interfaces and record them in the approval GA. Retained driver and base equipment also need their ratings, dimensions, alignment interfaces and condition reviewed against the replacement configuration.

What happens before manufacture and delivery?

Review the duty, stage and pressure basis, approval drawings, materials, inspection and test plan, and supply boundaries. We provide a report or proposal within 48 hours of sufficient information; complete-pump delivery is 6–8 weeks against the agreed order schedule.
