SULZER & AHLSTROM REPLACEMENT PROGRAM
Replace an installed Sulzer ZE, ZF or legacy ZA pump with a configuration matched to its duty and installation. Define pressure, temperature, nozzle and seal requirements before approving the replacement.

Delivery follows the agreed order schedule; the 48-hour review starts with sufficient pump and duty information. The project GA records the exact installed interfaces.
01 / IDENTIFY THE CONFIGURATION
ZE / ZF and legacy ZA installations need their own model and drawing basis. Record the exact installed series in your enquiry.
Installed configurationInstalled API 610 / ISO 13709 OH2 process pumps
Information to sendModel, size, project datasheet, duty, design conditions and GA.
Installed configurationModel-specific legacy replacement
Information to sendNameplate, existing drawings or measured installation interfaces.
Specify the required API 610 / ISO 13709 edition, inspection scope and acceptance criteria in your RFQ. The replacement proposal records the requirements and any deviations for project approval.
Review a legacy ZA installation
Installed-family technical reference: Sulzer ZE / ZF range.
02 / ENGINEERING FIT
A dimensional match is one part of the selection. The pressure boundary, thermal behavior, sealing and driver arrangement must follow the project duty.
Flow, head, suction pressure, maximum discharge pressure, temperature and required nozzle ratings.
Nozzle orientation, centerline, supports, mounting dimensions and the installation’s thermal movement requirements.
Installed seal, flush or cooling arrangement, utility connections and specified seal-plan requirements.
Speed, power, coupling, retained driver and the specified materials, inspections and acceptance criteria.
Your report identifies the proposed configuration, agreed dimensions, supply boundaries and any data still required. Approval drawings establish the manufacturing basis.
03 / SCOPE & DOCUMENTS
Choose a complete pump set or define a bare-pump or assembly scope around retained equipment. Include the project specification and seal-system requirements. The proposal lists the supplied equipment, retained interfaces, inspection points and approval documents together.
Discuss my supply scopeDuty and interface drawings, material and seal specification, driver requirements and a clear equipment list.
Specified material identification and traceability, inspections and test reports to the agreed project requirements.
Equipment identification, packing list, operating documentation and the written delivery and warranty terms.
WARRANTY
18 months from shipment / 12 months from commissioningWhichever occurs first.
Recorded in the written supply terms.
Start with the model or nameplate, duty and available drawings.
From sufficient information, with the fit and supply scope recorded.
Confirm drawings, materials, inspections, tests and delivery milestones.
Manufacture and delivery follow the agreed order schedule.
04 / START YOUR REPLACEMENT
Send the information you have. Your series is preselected; unknown technical details can be added later.
Send your email and the information you have. Model, company and files are optional to start.

It is a separate model-specific route. Send the full ZA model and available drawings or measurements. We establish the installed duty and interfaces rather than assuming that a ZE / ZF configuration fits.
Start with the nameplate and clear installation photos. We provide the dimensional information needed for the review, including nozzles, centerline, mounting holes and coupling interfaces. The approval GA records the agreed dimensions.
Include operating and design temperatures, fluid properties, suction and discharge pressures, seal and cooling arrangements, and any installation constraints related to thermal movement. Add the project datasheet and specification when available.
Send photos of the seal area and auxiliary piping, seal identification and available drawings. We identify the existing arrangement and agree the replacement’s seal and utility scope in the proposal.
Yes, where the agreed configuration uses them. Provide driver rating and speed, shaft and coupling details, base dimensions and condition information. The review records which components remain and which are supplied.
The project specification defines the required standard edition, inspections, tests, witness points and documentation. These are listed in the quotation and inspection plan. Materials, testing and delivery documents follow that agreed scope.
